Matt grew up in a small town with vineyards all around, Sonoma, California. He met his wife in high school and started dating her their senior year. After graduating from college, he married his high school sweetheart and celebrated 30 years of wedded bliss in June, 2022. He pursued a career in the medical field and started working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in 1996. In 2006 he moved his young family to north Idaho, landing in Rathdrum. He has worked at Kootenai Health for the past 17 years, as a lead therapist as well as precepting many students that have gone through the local RRT programs. In December of 2021, he assisted in renovating the office space to open Mountain Country Family Healthcare, PLLC clinic. The clinic was opened in March of 2022. He has been managing the office doing nursing tasks as well as reception and bookkeeping duties for the business to run smoothly.

In his spare time Matt enjoys mountain biking, fly-fishing, hiking, snowskiing/boarding, anything outdoors, spending time with his wife and two girls, and camping with his family, dogs included.
